Current Activities By GENERAL MEMBERS

134th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the SBI SC/ST & OBC Employees' Council organized a series of welfare activities across various locations.


1. Bidhannagar Module:  06.04.2025 – Behrampur

Ceiling fans were distributed to a local school to improve classroom comfort for students.

07.04.2025 – Deganga

200 sarees were distributed to underprivileged women, promoting dignity and support.

14.04.2025 --A blood donation camp was held by Shanti Nagar Matua Sangha, with active participation from volunteers.40 needy students were also provided with textbooks.

13.04.2025 – Bakkhali


A CSR programme was organized at Prabartak Ashram, home to over 52 orphans, offering support and spreading joy.

3. Siliguri Module :

14.04.2025 – Gangtok (Sikkim Unit)

A celebration was held at Lee All Old Age Home, Rakdong Tintek, East Sikkim, graced by RM Shri Kumar Nitesh.A newly constructed kitchen and washroom were inaugurated under SBI’s CSR initiative.

Prevention of Atrocities

"According to the SC/ST Act, the protection is provided from social disabilities such as a denial of access to certain places and to use a customary passage, personal atrocities like forceful drinking or eating of inedible food sexual exploitation, injury etc, atrocities affecting properties, malicious prosecution, political disabilities and economic exploitation.

Punishment for offences of atrocities

"An Act to prevent the commission of offences of atrocities against the members of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes, to provide for Special Courts for the trial of such offences and for the relief and rehabilitation of the victims of such offences and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

May Day – Blood Donation at LHO

May Day – Blood Donation at LHO:

SEWA – Serving with Dignity the occasion of May Day (1st May 2025), a Blood Donation Camp was successfully organized.


Every year Blood Donation Camps are organised in different parts of the Circle. These camps are arranged in the searching summer season when most of the Blood Banks go dry. There is huge enthusiasm amongst our Members for Blood Donation and they religiously take part every year. Through this noble initiative SEWA Kolkata has helped save lives.

15 chairs donated to a school for children with autism.Improved learning environment for special needs education.

1000 blankets distributed
A total of 1000 blankets were distributed amongst economically weaker section of
the society, in the remotest hamlets across the geography of the circle. In the chilling
winter and in parts with sub zero temperature (above 10,000 ft of sea level), the blankets literally saved life of many.
TEAM BUILDING & ACTIVITIES
A hundred boys and girls from the backward section of the society, who have skills
but lacks means to purchased accessories, are provided with sporting gears on 14th
April, 2024. The Players were scouted by our Members. They have been assured of
all help for their sporting career. We believe all have the potential to bring laurels for
the Country in the near future.
